LAY OUTREACH MINISTRIES

St. Vincent de Paul Society: Operates from St. Edward Parish. Mission: Compelled to action by the convictions of our founders, St. Vincent de Paul of Seattle/King County joins the community to listen, engage, and build relationships that assist and advocate for individuals and families to meet basic needs and achieve stability and self-sufficiency.


Legion of Mary: Lay group that serves as Communion ministers to homebound parishioners and offers rosaries upon parishioner requests.
 
Lay Carmelites: Members follow the Carmelite way of life. Meet for prayer and fellowship.
 
Bukas Loob sa Diyos (BLD - Open to the Spirit of God): As a communion of encountered families, members are called by the Lord: To build communities of disciples of Jesus Christ who are empowered by the Holy Spirit; to renew and strengthen our Christian Faithful. 
 

Knights of Columbus St. Edward Council:
Catholic males ages 18 and up are invited to join the Knights of Columbus to serve our parish community. Promotes brotherhood and raises funds in support of the parish. 

Guadelupe Committee / Llamados Por Cristo: Two organizations that meet for prayer and praise that our Spanish speaking parishioners join.

   
PLEASE NOTE: ALL VOLUNTEERS WHO SERVE IN MINISTRIES THAT INCLUDE MINORS AND VULNERABLE ADULTS MUST GO THROUGH A BACKGROUND CHECK AND ATTEND A PROTECTING GOD'S CHILDREN SEMINAR CONDUCTED BY THE SAFE ENVIRONMENT PROGRAM OF THE ARCHDIOCESE OF SEATTLE. ST. EDWARD PARISH IS COMMITTED TO SAFEGUARDING OUR MINORS AND VULNERABLE ADULTS.
